Fifteen members and guests enjoyed an instructive guided tour of the gardens at Nymans House. Unfortunately the weather was damp and dismal but not sufficient for us to have to abandon the tour. The ‘gardeners’ amongst us asked many questions, which were more than adequately answered by our knowledgeable guide; the rest of us just enjoyed the walk around the gardens and hoped that some of the guide’s expertise had rubbed off on us.

At the end of the guided tour we were able to explore the remains of the house, most of which has been destroyed by fire.
