EADS- Astrium is involved in
the design, build and test of advanced payloads for
mobile and military communications satellites; world
leading Earth observation payloads with advanced space
borne radars; sensors and scientific instruments such as
the microwave humidity sounder; payloads for the Galileo
navigation system satellites.
The format for the visit will
be:

Presentation - general presentation on Astrium, who we
are, what we do etc
For the tour of the
facilities we will be split into 2 groups.
14.40 Tour of
facilities to include:
- Manufacturing
- AIT - (Assembly,
Integration and Test)
- hopefully you will see some of our current satellites
in production
- Vibration test
- EMC facility
16.00 Return to
conference for Q&A
16.30 Depart
EADS security need 3 weeks to process attendees, so the
closing date for reply slips will be 24th October.
Maximum Number is 20 and no cameras or mobile phones will
be allowed on site.
Security clearance will require each attendee to submit:
Name - Telephone Number – Address and in
addition if a foreign national there is a need to supply
- Nationality and Passport Number and to take the
passport with them on the day.
