Talk: Power Engineering - some career highlights

The first part of the talk focuses on the design and commissioning of a 3 x 120 Mw Power Station in Malaysia. This includes the optimisation of impedance to limit fault levels without compromising voltage regulation during the start-up of large motors.

The second part describes major advances in the provision of critical Engineering Services in the banking sector during the 1990s. This includes measures taken to evaluate the annual cost of common mode failures and the business case for their attenuation.
